The post holder will secure fundraising income by building relationships with donors in the US, including companies and high net worth individuals, to achieve annual income targets and deliver significant year on year growth.
We are looking for an individual with excellent verbal and written communication skills, who has extensive experience of fundraising with major donors and corporate donors. They will be highly numerate and have experience of delivering both new business targets and account management of existing donors.
The post holder will be Sightsavers’ primary fundraising role physically based in the US. The post holder will be part of, and liaise closely with, Sightsavers’ global Major Giving team who are based at Sightsavers’ UK headquarters. There will also be opportunities to collaborate with program staff based in New Orleans and Washington D.C.
Colleagues in the UK will provide support and regular opportunities to visit and program staff based worldwide will provide support and information required for funding approaches.
The post holder will need to be able to travel overseas to accompany donors, or gather information for US market / UK Head Office.
